Leaders of the international sub-groups of Samoa Victim Support Group from Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and American Samoa will join the SVSG Board and Executive here in Apia, for a 2-day global meeting from 31 August to 1 September 2017.

On the theme ‘Voice of the Voiceless’, this year’s event will once again see the SVSG global leaders joining the governing body of SVSG here in Samoa, to discuss SVSG’s work, challenges, achievements and way forward.  It is the coming together of the SVSG family as part of our promise to keep our children, our mothers, our fathers, and our families safe.

Most importantly, it is an opportunity to discuss how SVSG global can better help the work of SVSG here in Samoa, and sustain our work further for our people.

SVSG Patron Tuisugaletaua Sofara Aveau will officially open this important gathering of the SVSG global leaders at 8.00am on Thursday, 31st August 2017 at the Travellers Point Malifa.

The meeting will include presentations by SVSG’s international sub-groups, the Board, the Executive and the Office on both the operations and the financials.  SVSG Advisor Justice Vui Clarence Nelson will share with the Group on the last day before the official closing.

As the Chair of the SVSG Board, “I extend a warm welcome to all of our SVSG global family. In solidarity, we shall remain the Voice of the Voiceless.” Georgina Lui
