Empowered Girls – With Dignity, With Optimism

​The girls come to us lost, broken and suicidal; at the Campus of Hope, they find safety, freedom, love and hope.  As the 2017 school year progresses, the girls survivors of violence and sexual abuse have a full on schedule of education and empowerment rehabilitation programs.
 
While normal girls see the mastering of income generating skills as a hobby, the girls’ survivors look at these as achievements because they ensure a sustainable livelihood.
 
Some are interested in flower arrangement while others are more outdoor ones, working the land through fruit tree and vegetable gardening.  And SVSG supports the girls’ interests because at the end of the day, they will be reintegrated to the community, where they will help their families and support themselves through these skills.  This is the practicality of SVSG’s work with the girls.
 
Gone were the lost, broken and suicidal looks.  Slowly, we see empowered girls, with dignity and with optimism.  With our supporting partners help, we are changing lives.
